Matt Ryan banned after EGP

Wakefield back rower Matt Ryan will miss his club’s Challenge Cup sixth round clash with Leigh this weekend, after being suspended.

The player made an early guitly plea (EGP) to the charge of a high tackle on Hull KR man Ben Cockayne, during last week’s game at the KC Lightstream Stadium.

The EGP means that he has accepted a one-match ban as punishment.
