March raids York once again

Hunslet boss Paul March has raided former club York once again to sign Danny Grimshaw and Rob Kelly.

Stand-off Grimshaw and back-rower Kelly, both 23, join Scott Woodcock, David Clayton and David March in swapping the York for the South Leeds Stadium.

Director of Rugby Darren Williams said “The bulk of the squad is now in place and Grimmer is an exciting attacking half-back with pace to burn he has had his injury problems but they are now behind him and Rob will regularly top the tackle count with his high work rate.”

Williams added: “We will announce 3 new signings later in the week as well as a number of our current squad who have signed extended deals.”

Grimshaw said: “I am thrilled to join the Hawks and I am looking forward to playing under Paul March again and the new season cannot come around quick enough.”

March was player-coach at York but left mid-way through the 2009 season before taking up the position at Hunslet.
