Manly 24-26 NZ Warriors

Manly’s season went from bad to worse after they fell to a 26-24 defeat to the New Zealand Warriors.

Jerome Ropati’s late try stole it for the Warriors, who made it two wins from two matches following their opening round win over the Eels.

Tries from Michael Bani and Jamie Lyon but The Warriors hit back with scores from Brent Tate, Manu Vatuvei and Jesse Royal.

The Sea Eagles seemed to regain their composure and thanks to tries from Andrew Suniula, Adam Cuthbertson and Lyon, the points looked safe for the Brookvale club.

But Stacy Jones’ late cross kick was tapped back in field by Vatuvei to allow Ropati to score in the left corner and Denan Kemp added the conversion to secure the points.
