Not only do Sky have the rights for the Championship, they have effectively stopped Toronto from showing games through Premier Sports and also stopped Bradford from streaming live through Proper Sports.

So here’s an idea. In relation to your article, Thursday night’s show a Championship game. Then after Super League on a Saturday show a Toronto home game (ala Catalan) as they kick off at 9:30pm our time.

All Toronto’s home games could be shown on Sky which would help attract more investors to our sport and would give Championship clubs much needed exposure! Either way, 2019 is going to be an amazing season for Championship rugby!

Editor’s comment: As a massive fan of the old format of Championship on Thursday, Super League on Friday and Saturday, then I would be all for this. However, it would take a seismic change from a Sky point of view, and also impossible for 2019 given the schedule has already been arranged. It’s a shame that this is still an ongoing issue considering the number of channels and the technology which is available now compared to 15 years ago.
