London out to improve attack

London coach Andrew Henderson wants his side to improve its attacking output as they look to continue their winning run.

London sit at the top of the Championship table after their 22-18 home win over Dewsbury Rams.

But coach Andrew Henderson believe there’s room for improvement.

“Our defensive attitude has played a large part in getting some of these recent results,” he said.

“We’ve played some good football at times but I just don’t think we’re doing enough with the ball. There’s still miles of improvement in us in that area.

“But we’re sitting at the top of the league so I can’t be too critical.”

The Broncos will square up against Featherstone in the Challenge Cup this afternoon.

“Featherstone have gone a little bit under the radar to be honest,” Henderson said.

“They’ve been playing some good football. They’re asking a lot of questions of defences and have got some quality players.

“Currently they’re the best defensive team in the competition. I think it’s going to be a really big challenge for us. It’s nice to have a break from the league but it’s important for us to build on this winning momentum and progress to the next round.”

Featherstone won 30-10 at Swinton last week and coach Jon Sharp said: “I thought parts of the performance were excellent. We played really positively and played some really good attacking stuff.

“I think it’s going to be really tough at London looking at the stuff they’ve done. They’re not top of the league by any fluke, they are there on merit and playing really well. It’s going to be a massive challenge for us.”
