London have secured the services of Wales hooker Matty Fozard on a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old joins the Broncos following a three-year spell at Sheffield Eagles, playing almost 100 games for the club.

Fozard came through the ranks at St Helens, where he spent time on loan at Batley Bulldogs and Rochdale Hornets.

On linking up with London, Fozard said: “I’m ecstatic to be given the opportunity to play for the London Broncos for the next two seasons.

“It’s an even bigger privilege now that the team have successfully made it back into Super League. I can’t thank Danny Ward and Graeme Taylor (agent) enough for allowing me this opportunity to be back playing at the elite level.

“I’m very eager to start my time at this club and I can’t wait to meet all the boys, staff and the Broncos’ fans.

“I was anxious but excited at the thought of seeing London back in Super League. All the boys on the day were outstanding and a credit to the club and they fully deserved the promotion.

“I was already thrilled about becoming a full-time Championship player, but the promotion to Super League is literally the cherry on top and I can’t wait to get started.”

Broncos’ head coach Danny Ward commented: “We have kept a close eye on Matty throughout the season and he has performed consistently well.

“He is young, hungry and will benefit massively from being in a full-time environment.”

Fozard has earned eight caps for Wales since making his international debut back in 2014.
