Penrith Panthers star Luke Lewis will miss next month’s Harvey Norman All Stars match due to injury.

The versatile Australian test representative injured his ankle during the Four Nations final against New Zealand in November and the Panthers have confirmed that he will not be available for the game between the NRL and Indigenous All Stars teams.

The NRL All Stars team is selected based on votes cast by rugby league fans in Australia.

Lewis was the most popular member of the Penrith squad after the first round of voting, ahead of fellow Panthers Michael Jennings, Petero Civoniceva and Michael Gordon.
