Leigh prop signs new deal

Leigh prop Chris Hill has signed a new two year deal with the Centurions, keeping him at the club until the end of 2012.

Hill, 22, made his debut for the club against St Helens in Super League back in 2005 and was an ever present for the Championship side last season.

Leigh Chief Executive Allan Rowley said: “We are delighted to re-sign Chris we have watched him develop steadily since his academy days and the fact that we had to beat off Super League opposition for his signature is an indication of the progress he has made, and also further testimony that the club is continuing to move in the right direction on and off the field.”

Hill starred for Leigh as they maintained their unbeaten start to the Championship season with a 44-12 win over Whitehaven.
