Leigh name strong squad for Wire clash

Leigh boss Ian Millward has named a strong squad for his first game in charge at LSV, against Warrington on Sunday.

New signings Tim Hartley and Robbie Paul will partner each other at half-back, while new prop Steve Nash, signed from Salford, will also make his Leigh debut.

Second-rower Tommy Goulden, who moved to the club from Oldham, partners Macgraff Leuluai in the back-row, with 2008 National League 2 player of the year Dave Armitstead at loose forward.

Another of Millward’s new signings, John Duffy, has been named on the bench.

It will be Leigh’s first run out in pre-season after their friendly with Salford was twice postponed due to the weather.

Leigh: Donlan, Mort, Nanyn, Alstead, Maden, Hartley, Paul, Nash, Ridyard, Hill, Leuluai, Goulden, Armitstead. Subs: Stanton, Higson, Meekin, Morrison, Duffy, McConnell, Cuniffe, Ainscough.
