Leigh add forward pair

Leigh have continued to build their squad for 2018 with the signings of forwards Jack Blagborough and Nick Gregson.

Blagborough, 23, has signed a three-year deal having spent 2017 in Australia playing for Mackay Cutters, while 21-year-old Gregson joins from Wigan.

Coach Neil Jukes said: “Jack caught the eye a number of years ago when he was coming through the Sheffield system from reserve grade to first team.

“We have since been following his performances over in Australia, where again he has developed and performed really well in an outstanding competition.

“Nick has come through a very good system at Wigan where he has been behind some current internationals in contention for a regular first-team place.

“He had a number of Super League clubs looking at him but he came down to look around the place and saw the way the Club was heading and expressed his preference to join us.”

Gregson made 16 first team appearances for the Warriors, scoring two tries, and also played three times in a loan spell at Swinton.
