Ash Handley and Richie Myler scored hat-tricks as Leeds coasted to a 50-12 win over Salford.

It was a tough afternoon for the Red Devils, who counted the cost on and off the pitch, with Ken Sio, Josh Johnson, Chris Atkin and Ryan Lannon all picking up injuries.

The game was done as a contest virtually in the opening quarter of the match, as Handley, Myler and Luke Gale crossed for tries for a 16-0 lead.

They stretched that advantage to 26-0 by half-time with a dominant display that was in stark contrast to their last two games against Wigan and St Helens.

A quick-fire brace from Niall Evalds in the second half gave Salford brief hope, but Rob Lui and Mikolaj Oledzki soon put paid to any talk of a comeback.

Myler, on his old stomping ground at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium and starring against another of his former clubs, and Handley secured their hat-tricks late on.
