Huddersfield hooker Tommy Lee has been handed a two-match ban for his high tackle on Warrington’s Lee Briers at the weekend.

Lee, 24, submitted an early guilty plea to the charge of making a Grade C high tackle on the stroke of half time at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday, in a match the Giants lost 32-22 to last season’s minor premiers.

The option to take an early guilty plea is available to any player who has been charged with an offence of Grade A to C and who has not been found guilty of any other charge of on field misconduct or who has not submitted a previous early guilty plea in the 12 months preceding the date of the match in which the alleged offence took place.

Hull FC prop Sam Moa will appear before the Disciplinary committee to contest his charge of making a Grade B dangerous shoulder charge on London Broncos’ player Julien Rinaldi in the 61st minute of their 22-14 home victory at the KC Stadium on Sunday.
