It was the magic night out in Newcastle on Friday night. Newcastle Thunder fell short to Bradford Bulls 26-16 in front of a crowd of 4,137 at Kingston Park. Dane Chisholm scored a try and kicked five goals for the Bulls, while Jack Aldous and Dalton Grant were sent off for fighting.

Scotland international Callum Phillips also got on the scoresheet for Haven. Matty Fleming, who played for Skolars on dual-registration from London Broncos, was sin-binned for obstruction.
York City Knights ran in 16 tries to thrash Hemel Stags 90-0 and go top of the League 1 table. Hull KR full-back Will Dagger scored two tries and KR half-back Matty Marsh scored four tries for York – both were playing on dual-registration. Ash Robson also grabbed a hat-trick.
