Laithwaite in Hull KR move

Warrington back-rower James Laithwaite has joined Hull KR on a month’s loan.

Laitewaite, 20, has been playing for Championship side Leigh on dual-registration since the end of March, but this has now come to an end.

A Warrington statement read: “The move to Hull KR will give the back-rower a step up into the Stobart Super League providing him with an opportunity to build-up some professional game-time in the top-flight competition.”

Fellow Under 20s player James Mendeika has now joined the Centurions on a dual-registration deal, effectively replacing Laithwaite at Leigh Sports Village.

Meanwhile, winger Rhys Williams has extended his loan deal at Castleford by another month.
