Kurt Haggerty moves to Barrow

Barrow have moved to sign former Widnes back-rower Kurt Haggerty on a one-year deal.

Haggerty, 23, was released by the Vikings last month after making 14 Super League appearances in 2012.

The former St Helens academy product, who also had spells at Blackpool and Leigh, scored nine tries in 42 games for Widnes.

Warrington loose forward Bradley Brennan has also completed a permanent move to Craven Park.

The 19-year-old was on dual-registration terms with the Championship 1 Grand Finalists last season, playing nine games.

He too signs a one-year deal, and takes their squad number for 2013 up to 15.
