Danny Kirmond has extended his contract with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats which keeps him at the club until the end of the 2018 season.

The 30-year old has made over 100 Super League appearances for the Wildcats following an initial loan spell with the club in 2010, and has put pen-to-paper on a two year extension.

The ex-Huddersfield Giants forward has already expressed his happiness at signing an extension with the club.

“I’m delighted to have signed a contract extension for the next two years at the club,” Kirmond told the club’s official website.

“Having been here for six years now, the club, the fans and the rest of the boys mean a lot to me and having seen some low times during my time here I genuinely feel the club is in the best position it’s been in during my stay.

“It’s been great since Chris (Chester) came in and hopefully we can continue to work hard together to move forward. I look forward to the rest of this season and hopefully finishing my career off as a Wildcat.”
