Former Warrington centre Matt King has been ruled out for four months with a broken arm.

King, 32, now playing for South Sydney Rabbitohs, suffered the injury playing for North Sydney Bears in the NSW Cup competition.

It was first game back in action since breaking his arm in last year’s play-off game against Melbourne.

Head Coach Michael Maguire said: “It’s a tough situation for Kingy as he has worked extremely hard to put himself into a position to make his return last weekend.

“Kingy is the ultimate professional and we know that he will do everything he can, in conjunction our medical team, to return from this injury before the end of the season.

“He is still a massive part of what we’re doing here, he’s a leader in the development of the group, and the players have a huge amount of respect for what he does for this team.”
