Roosters flyer Shaun Kenny-Dowall has signed a four year contract extension.

New Zealand international Kenny-Dowall, 23, will remain with the Bondi Junction club until the end of 2015, after penning a deal believed to be worth $1.4 million.

Despite his young age, Kenny-Dowall has already made 83 NRL appearances and won six caps for New Zealand.

Last year, he was an important member of the Kiwi squad that lifted the Four Nations trophy and helped the Roosters reach the Grand Final.

“I have been at the Roosters my whole career and this is where I have developed as a person and a player and I never wanted to go anywhere else,” said Kenny-Dowall.

“I’m really looking forward to staying with the young squad we have because I think we are building something special at the club and I want to be a part of it.”

Kenny-Dowall, who has been named in the Roosters line-up to take on the Rabbitohs tommorrow (Friday), is a ‘match-winner’, according to coach Brian Smith.

He said:“Shaun really stood up last season and has proved he has what it takes to be a match winner. I’m really pleased to be able to continue working with him and be part of the team that will take him to the next level.”

Kenny-Dowall will run on in the number four jersey against South Sydney at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday night.
