Keighley v Doncaster Preview

Keighley Cougars coach Jason Demetriou says his squad have a clean bill of health ahead of Sunday’s Co-operative Championship One fixture with Doncaster.

However, Demetriou has demanded a major improvement from his side after last week’s 36-14 defeat at Oldham.

Demetriou said: “When we turn up with the right attitude we’re in with a good chance, but it only takes three or four blokes not to have that attitude and it can cost you.

“This is a massive game against Doncaster. We’re chasing home play-off games, so every match is vital now.

“We’ve only got two home games left and we want to finish them in style. It makes a big difference to us when we are at home, and we’re hoping for another big crowd to really get behind us.”

Doncaster’s hopes have been hit by the news that Kyle Kesik (groin) and Craig Robinson (foot) are major doubts for Sunday’s trip to Cougar Park.

But coach Tony Miller did receive a boost when Craig Fawcett returned to training earlier this week.

Miller said: “Our destiny is in our own hands and you can’t ask for anything more than that at this stage of the season.”
