Keighley defeat Oldham 16-8

League 1 club Keighley has defeated promoted Championship outfit Oldham 16-8 in a friendly.

The Cougars started brightly when Adam Brook fed Charlie Martin to score after just five minutes.

The Roughyeds hit back nine minutes later when Adam Clay touched down in the corner.

Clay added a second just before the break as Oldham took an 8-6 lead into half-time.

Keighley took the lead back in the second half when Hamish Barnes forced his way over for a try.

The Cougars were in again just before full-time through Ritchie Hawkyard. Adam Brook converted to give Keighley the eight-point victory in front of 397 fans.
