Junior Sa’u makes kind-hearted gesture for young fan

Leigh centre Junior Sa’u made a young fan’s day on Sunday afternoon with a kind-hearted gesture.

The 34-year-old played in Leigh’s defeat at Wakefield on Sunday and after the game, Sa’u gave his boots to a young fan on the sidelines.

In a message to Leigh, the parent of the young fan wrote: “Hi, I would just like to say a massive thank you to your number four. I believe his name is Junior Sa’u.

“My son has a diagnosis of Asperger’s and absolutely loves rugby league. He is a Leeds Rhinos fan, however, loves to watch any game.

“We attended the Wakefield versus Leigh game and your player gave my son his boots after the match. He is absolutely over the moon.

“Could you please pass on my thanks and appreciate to such a lovely guy. I did try to share it on your page but it wouldn’t let me.”

Sa’u wrote back on Twitter: “One love champ, always grateful to put smiles on kids’ faces. #GodisGood.”
