Josh McGuire joins St George Illawarra Dragons with immediate effect

St George Illawarra Dragons have signed prop Josh McGuire from North Queensland Cowboys with immediate effect.

The Australia and Samoa international has joined the Dragons until at least the end of the 2022 season.

McGuire has made 232 NRL appearances for Brisbane Broncos and the Cowboys to date. He has won eight caps for Australia and seven for Samoa as well as representing Queensland 14 times in State of Origin.

Dragons general manager of football Ben Haran said: “The club has made no secret of its desire to sign an experienced forward for our current campaign and Josh certainly fits this bill.
