Jones-Buchanan praises united England

England back-rower Jamie Jones-Buchanan says this is the most united international squad he has been part of.

The Leeds forward will be hoping to make it three wins from three when England take on France at Salford City Stadium on Sunday in the Autumn International Series final.

He said: “I’ve been lucky to have played in a few representative squads in my time but this is by far the most united. We enjoy working together and socialising as a group and there are no cliques.

“That kind of spirit is important during tough competitions and there is a club mentality that has been instilled by the coach, but we all have to take responsibility for making it happen and for pulling together this time next year.”

England powered past Wales in their first match, winning 80-12 at the Racecourse Ground, with Jones-Buchanan amongst the try scorers.

They followed that up with last weekend’s 44-6 win over France at Craven Park, which featured a hat-trick for young Leeds centre Kallum Watkins.

Jones-Buchanan added: “Sunday is a special day for us and we want to win the tournament with an unbeaten record. France will be smarting and we can expect them to improve on last week.”
