John Oakes to remain at Hunslet for 2013

John Oakes will remain at Hunslet Hawks for the 2013 season.

Oakes has been the club’s stand out player as the Hawks have struggled this season in the Championship.

Director of rugby Darren Williams said “We earmarked John as one of our key players for next season following some stand out form this year.

“He has been a revelation since moving into the forwards and has put together a string of impressive performances.

“He’s still got plenty of improvement in his game and we are delighted he’s agreed to stay at South Leeds for a further year.”
