Dewsbury have signed centre Jason Walton on a one-year contract.

The 29-year-old has played for Salford, Batley, London, Wakefield and Featherstone, making 179 career appearances in total.

Dewsbury coach Lee Greenwood said: “I’m really pleased to bring Jason in.

“He has had some bad luck with injuries over the last couple of seasons but this has helped him get some real appetite back for the game.

“We will work with him in pre-season to make sure he is in the best shape possible and 100% fit ready to go. He is a likeable lad and could be a real fan favourite in 2020.

“He adds quality to our squad and I’m looking forward to seeing him in Dewsbury colours.”
