Jarrod Sammut given four-match suspension

Leigh half-back Jarrod Sammut has been given a four-match ban for a spear tackle.

The Malta international was charged for four matches for a Grade D dangerous throw in Leigh’s recent Championship clash against Halifax.

Sammut pleaded guilty to a Grade D dangerous throw at tribunal and will serve a four-match ban and pay a £250 fine.
