Jamie Soward is excited by the return of the NRL, which returns on Thursday.
The NRL will resume play on Thursday, with Brisbane hosting Parramatta. Sky Sports will show all eight games from the NRL’s returning round.
Soward, who had two stints in Super League with London Broncos during his illustrious 12-year career, can’t wait for the competition to get back underway.
He told Sky Sports’ Golden Point Podcast: “I think to have the product back out on the field, we are leading the way right now with us going worldwide.
“We are having every game on Sky Sports. I don’t know if that’s ever happened before where everyone can have unlimited footage of rugby league and to have the chance to watch players who you have never had the chance to see before.
“Hopefully we get the market to ourselves for a couple of weeks and you all get to see the supreme talent down in the NRL.
“The Roosters are under enormous pressure this week to get it right straight away.
“The Raiders know they are good enough to get there but it is going to be (interesting to see) if George Williams is the final piece of their puzzle, so everyone is waiting for him to be in the pressure cooker of Melbourne. With there being no crowd probably helps because I never won down there in 12 years! It is a horrible place to play so it will be interesting to see how he goes.”
Watch NRL and live stream every NRL game to keep up with how Tom Burgess, John Bateman, Ryan Sutton, Elliott Whitehead, James Graham, George Williams and all the others are getting on Down Under.
