Catalans coach Steve McNamara says controversial centre Israel Folau has benefited from the break and is looking forward to the Super League restart.

Folau, 31, joined the Dragons on the eve of the season and scored one try in three appearances.

And fans will have the chance to see him live on TV for the first time since his return to rugby league when the Dragons take on St Helens this Sunday on Sky Sports.

McNamara said: “It was tough for him coming in with no training.

“The break has been good for him and given the opportunity to get a sustained period of training in.

“He’s looking really good in training and I don’t think people will have seen any of the games he’s played as we’ve not been on TV, so it’s the first chance to see him back on a rugby league field in live action and he’s certainly looking in great shape.”
