Inu in at Bulldogs

Canterbury coach Des Hasler has moved to patch up his injured squad by signing Kiwi international Krisnan Inu.

Inu joins the Bulldogs straight away, after the 25-year-old was granted an immediate release from the New Zealand Warriors.

The Bulldogs are in the midst of an injury crisis with a number of key outside backs currently on the sidelines.

“The Bulldogs are excited to have a player of Krisnan Inu’s pedigree join the club,” Hasler told the club’s official website .

“Krisnan is an international player and his arrival comes off the back of an horrific run of injuries in our outside backs, numbering five in total.

“We certainly think that Krisnan’s arrival will help fill that void.”

Inu, who joined the Warriors from Parramatta scoring 21 tries for the Auckland-based club, has signed on a three-and-a-half year deal.

“It’s come about sooner than expected due to circumstances and everything has happened quickly over the last couple of days but I’m thankful for the opportunity,” Inu says.

“I appreciate what the Vodafone Warriors have done in letting me go now, giving me the chance to play NRL football.

“I want to thank everyone at the club for what they’ve done for me. I’ve enjoyed my time here.”

Inu, who currently stands at 99 NRL apperances, was a member of last season’s Warriors team that made the Grand Final.
