Hunslet sign Bradford youngster

Championship 1 side Hunslet have signed half-back Colton Wray from Bradford on a one year deal.

Leeds-based Wray, 20, has spent the past two seasons with the Bulls Senior Academy side.

Hawks Director of Rugby, Darren Williams, said: “We were looking to strengthen the halves and Colton provides us with some cover, he certainly looks a pacy footballer and will look to impress through our Reserve side initially.”

Meanwhile, the Hawks have released Gareth Firm from his contract.

Williams added: “It’s disappointing to agree to Gareth’s release but he wasn’t enjoying his football and he decided he wanted to take some time out of the game, he leaves with our best wishes and the door will remain open for him if he wants to return to the game.”
