Hunslet relegated as Featherstone finish top

Hunslet have been relegated from the Kingstone Press Championship, after they lost 46-8 at home to Featherstone, who in turn have clinched the League Leader’s Shield for the fourth consecutive year.

In a one-sided affair, the Hawks never looked like pulling off a great escape against a rampant Rovers outfit.

The away side’s try-scorers were James Lockwood, Andy Kain (2), Matty Dale, Matt James, Will Sharp, Jack Bussey and Liam Finn.

Finn also managed seven successful conversions, while Hunslets points came via tries from Lee Mapals and Waine Pryce.
