Hunslet move for Paul Hughes

Hunslet have signed hooker or half-back Paul Hughes on a one-year deal.

Hughes, 28, has played in the Championship for Featherstone, Doncaster, York and Dewsbury, and made his Hawks bow in yesterday’s friendly win over Hunslet All Stars.

Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “We’re thrilled to add Paul to our squad for 2013, he has a number of games under his belt and knows what the Championship is all about, he is a great communicator on the field.”

Meanwhile, prop Anthony Henderson has announced his retirement from the game due to work commitments.
