Hunslet land Widnes winger

Hunslet RLFC have signed winger Ryan Ince from Widnes Vikings on an initial month’s loan.

Ince is part of the Vikings full-time squad and is well known to Hunslet head coach James Coyle who had Ryan on dual registration last season in the Championship.

Coyle said: “I’m delighted to secure Ryan on loan. I think we have a really well balanced squad and bringing in a winger with Super League experience puts pressure on our guys to increase their performance.

“We now have some really healthy competition for places in the outside backs. Both with experience along with some youthful energy and this will provide a good environment for our outside backs to improve together.”

Widnes head coach Denis Betts said: “Having enjoyed first team action in our pre-season, we were keen that Ryan could carry this momentum forward.

“We are pleased to have arranged a loan agreement with Hunslet RLFC, where he can benefit from competitive games.”

Meanwhile, back-row forward Danny Williams has been released by mutual consent and returned to Siddal ARLFC.
