Hull KR are looking to sign a marquee player as part of the club’s new five-year plan.

Chairman Neil Hudgell and Football Manager Jamie Peacock addressed club supporters at a fans forum las night.

The pair revealed Hull KR has a five-year plan to make it into a top four-side.

“There’s a five-year plan trying to get the club into the top four,” Peacock said.

“Recruitment, retention, the academy, coaching, strength and conditioning are all a part of it. It brings all the club departments together.

“A culture is being built on concrete, not grains of sand. We want to be competitive, tough, resilient, disciplined.”

Hull KRwant to bring in a marquee but only for the right reasons.

“The marquee player is a part of the club’s five-year plan,” Hudgell said.

“It must be the right character and personality. It won’t be done without justifiable reasons.”

“There’s changes being made on the back of the last 12 months and underachieving historically, consistency is needed.

“There’s a big two games coming up for the club.”
