Hull KR keen to end on 2015 on a high

Hull KR coach Chris Chester is determined that his team will end their Qualifiers campaign with a 100 per cent record, when they play Salford at home on Sunday.

Rovers have won all six of their games in the Super 8s section of the season so far, and Chester would be very pleased if they could end the season with another victory.

He hopes that they can then take this form and confidence into their 2016 Super League campaign.

“We’ve shown this season that we have the ability to beat the best teams in the competition and we’ve been pretty good in the one-off games, but we want to be more consistent next year,” Chester told his club’s official website.

“Winning all seven matches in the Super 8s would be a good start. We’ve got next year in mind and we want to see some good performances on Sunday to give us some momentum going into pre-season.

“We’ve done pretty well since Wembley and I’m really proud of how the boys have responded to that.

“It’s been a tough month physically and mentally but I feel like we’ve turned a corner. We need to finish the job now by beating Salford but we know it won’t be easy.”
