Brad Takairangi suffered a torn hamstring in the same month against Castleford. Luis Johnson underwent surgery in June for a ruptured pectoral. He missed the first three months of the 2022 season due to a foot injury.

Will Dagger is now in a protective boot having suffered a season-ending injury away to Wigan earlier in August. Captain Shaun Kenny-Dowall suffered a long-term injury during the defeat to Leeds in the same month.

Jez Litten’s season is over having received a two-match suspension for a Grade C dangerous throw following their 18-6 defeat to Wakefield.

Korbin Sims has been forced to retire one game early after picking up a three-match ban. The 30-year-old forward had planned to make the Hull derby his final game to conclude his 10-year professional career.
