Hull FC release Challenge Cup and Magic Weekend kit

Hull FC have released their third kit for the 2019 season, which will be worn in this season’s Challenge Cup fixtures and at the Magic Weekend.

The Airlie Birds will wear the white strip for the first time next moth when they face Castleford Tigers at the KCOM Stadium in their Challenge Cup round six tie.

The jersey, which features black chevrons, will be on show again a fortnight later as Hull head for Anfield to take on Huddersfield Giants at the Magic Weekend.

The shirt pays homage to the club’s five victories in the cup competition in 1914, 1982, 2005, 2016 and 2017, with five stars being placed above the club’s badge.

Elements of the design also offer a subtle hint to Cup shirts of yesteryear. A white shirt with a black ‘V’ was used as an alternative shirt for cup ties in the past, including the more recent Wembley win in 2016.
