Hull FC have released Gareth Raynor despite the winger have a year left on his contract.

The former Great Britain international has struggled with injury over the last 12 months and is due to appear in court in April to face charges of counterfeiting and fraud.

It is understood that Hull will release a statement confirming Raynor’s release once the terms of his departure have been agreed.

The 31-year-old joined Hull in 2001 from Leeds Rhinos and had scored 107 tries in 199 appearances for the club.
