Hull FC and Hull KR could clash in Cyprus

Hull FC and Hull KR are considering an invitation to train and play a pre-season friendly against each other in Cyprus, according to a report in East Yorkshire.

The Hull Daily Mail relates that the Cyprus Tourist Board has extended an invitation to the two clubs to attend training camps on the island, as part of a campaign promoting the country to sporting clubs.

Apparently, the Tourist Board would fund the travel costs of the two clubs, who would train at different facilities in different cities.

One idea being proposed is that the two teams could then play each other in a game intended for local people to see and get a flavour of rugby league.

Both clubs are reported to be considering the proposal.
