Huddersfield confirm Mason exit

Huddersfield have confirmed that prop Keith Mason has left the club.

Mason, 30, has fallen down the pecking order at the John Smith’s Stadium following the arrivals of front rowers Stuart Fielden, Craig Kopczak, Anthony Mullally and Akuma Ta’ai.

A club statement read: “Huddersfield Giants can confirm that Keith Mason left the club on the 4th of October. 

“The matter is in the hands of solicitors and therefore the Club will not be making any further comment at this time.”

The former St Helens, Castleford and Wakefield forward was under contract with the Giants until the end of 2015, a deal signed back in May 2011.
