Holdsworth in plea for stolen memorabilia

Former Hull FC and Salford stand-off Daniel Holdsworth has made a public plea after his house was broken into.

Holdsworth, 29, recently returned to his native Australia after four years in Super League, but his comeback has been soured by the theft of some treasured items.

The Cronulla man is missing jerseys signed by former teammates Sonny Bill Williams and Andrew Ryan, as well as the shirt he wore on his debut for St George Illawarra.

“When I went out the back this morning to hang some clothes on the line I realised the sliding doors were open,” explained Holdsworth.

“I had a look around and realised the room was bare.

“I’ve gone and seen the police. Obviously I haven’t touched anything so they’re going to come around and finger-print the place.

“I don’t know how I’ll track it but hopefully it might turn up.”
