Warrington captain Chris Hill says previous form will go out in the window when the Wire host St Helens tonight for a place in the grand final.

Warrington claimed the League Leader’s Shield last weekend and reached the Challenge Cup final in August.

In contrast Sants have had a more up and down season, but they have been impressive in the Super 8s and enjoy a great record at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in recent times.

But Hill believes it is ball control that will be most vital this evening.

“I think form’s out the window, whoever plays the best for 80 minutes on Thursday will come out winners,” he said.

“[You need to] control the ball more than anything now the weathers turning a bit more slippery.

“One mistake and the game’s over – thats the margins in these fine, tough games.

“That’s what we look forward too, thats what we play this sport for, for them games.”

Hill is expecting the Hailliwell Jones to be rocking tonight.

“Im, sure it’ll be a full house,” he said.
