Catalan hooker, Ian Henderson has signed a new two year contract to remain in the south of France until the end of 2015.

The 30 year-old has been a massive hit since joining the Dragons from New Zealand Warriors in 2011 scoring six tries in 76 appearances.

“I’m very pleased to have signed a new contract with the club,” he said.

“My family and I are very happy in Perpignan, we love the club, the lifestyle and the people.

“I believe the club is going in the right direction and is getting stronger each year.

“I have belief in the team, belief in the coaches and belief in the club management and this made my decision easier.”

Henderson first made his mark in the NRL with Sydney before winning the World Club Challenge with Bradford in his first stint in Super League.

“It’s great for us to keep Ian at the club for the next two seasons,” added Dragons boss, Laurent Fraysinnous.

“He is a player completely committed to the club. He will also bring his experience to the team and will continue to help the young players who are coming through to develop.”
