A brave effort by Harlequins was not enough to hold off Bradford as the Bulls returned to the top of Super League with a win at The Stoop.

The home side were still in the game with ten minutes left, but the Bulls eventually ran out 36-22 winners.

The visitors took a 12-0 lead in the opening twenty minutes, but Harlequins fought back with tries from Paul Sykes and Rob Purdham to reduce the deficit to 12-8 at half time.

Tries from Purdham and Jon Wells then put Harlequins ahead 16-12, but with neither of those tries were converted, meaning Quins had missed four conversion attempts in all.

Those 8 points could have proved crucial, as it meant Harlequins only held a four point lead, which was soon relinquished when Glenn Morrison crashed over on 52. Paul Sykes restored Quins' lead on 58, this time converted by Purdham to give Quins a 22-18 lead with 20 minutes to go.

But converted tries from Iestyn Harris, Lesley Vainikolo and Michael Platt put the Bulls out of site and gave them their fifth win of the season.
