Harlequins bounced back from last week’s thrashing at Warrington with a 16-4 win over Catalans at The Stoop.

In a week that saw the club come under fire from RFL chief Richard Lewis, a disappointing crowd of 2,330 watched Brian McDermott’s side record their first win of the season after back to back defeats.

Will Sharp was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick of tries. His first two came thanks to some great play from Danny Orr, with a Clint Greenshields scored sandwiched in between.

Quins went in 8-4 up at the break, and Sharp’s third try stretched their lead to 12-4, with Orr adding the extras.

Orr then wrapped up the scoring with a penalty before Catalans prop David Ferriol was sent off late on.
