Hansen cleared for cup final

Wigan Warriors second row Harrison Hansen has been cleared to play in Saturday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup final against Leeds Rhinos after he was found not guilty of making a dangerous tackle during his club’s Engage Super League Round 25 victory over Bradford Bulls.

Hansen was charged with the Grade B offence of making dangerous contact with Bradford prop Andy Lynch but was cleared when he appeared before the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday evening.

The Disciplinary Committee handed down a one-match ban to Warrington Wolves forward David Solomona after finding him guilty of the Grade B offence of making dangerous contact with Catalan Dragons player Jean-Phillipe Baile in the 45th of their Super League match. Solomona, who pleaded guilty, was also fined £300.

St Helens forward Jon Wilkin and Hull KR back Blake Green also received one-match suspensions after they were found guilty of committing Grade A offences during their recent Super League fixture

Wilkin was suspended for tripping offence on KR’s Kris Welham in the 67th minute while Green received his ban for committing a dangerous throw on Saints winger Jamie Foster. Both players were also fined £300
