Hall in early return

Leeds winger Ryan Hall has been given permission by head coach Brian McDermott to return to training early at this own request.

Hall, 23, finished last season with 31 tries and was named in the Super League Dream Team, but was itching to get back to training to improve for next season.

He said: “Originally I was not due back until next week but I spoke to Brian and asked if I could come back in early. I want to work on my fitness and make sure I am ready for the new campaign. The season ended disappointingly for me after I picked up a hamstring injury whilst away with England.

“The injury is fine now and I just want to get back out there. There is a great spirit amongst the boys. Brian McDermott has come in and he is putting his ideas into place. It was disappointing to finish last season without any silverware and we know that we need improve.”
