France have named a 20-man squad for their Test match with England in Perpignan on October 23.

Injuries to Theo Fages, Benjamin Garcia, Julian Bousquet, Alrix Da Costa, Gadwin Springer, Rhys Curran and Lucas Albert, as well as the retirement of Remi Casty, means that France are set to field an inexperienced side.

The squad is compiled of 19 Catalans Dragons and Toulouse players, with the sole exception being Salford full-back Morgan Escare.

France coach Laurent Frayssinous said: “This group combines experience and youth with 10 players who are likely to celebrate their first selection in blue.

“This Test match against England is the start of our new planning for the 2022 World Cup.”
