Two players from Doncaster and two from Barrow Raiders have been charged following incidents that occurred during Championship and League 1 fixtures played on Sunday June 7.

Doncaster player Jack Walton has been charged with making a Grade C dangerous throw in the match against Bradford Bulls at Provident Stadium.

Matt Groat of Doncaster has been charged with Grade D reckless striking with the elbow on Bradford player Lee Gaskell.

Barrow Raiders player Anthony Bate has been charged with Grade A striking out with the leg in the game against Keighley Cougars at Craven Park.

Lee Haney of Barrow Raiders has been charged with Grade C striking in the same fixture.

Walton, Bate and Haney have until 11am on Tuesday June 16 to submit an Early Guilty Plea (EGP).

Groat does not have the option of submitting an EGP and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday.

All four players were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, which also issued a formal caution to James Newton of Whitehaven for making dangerous contact on Hunslet’s Jimmy Watson.
