Four charged over Saints v Wigan brawl

St HelensShaun Magennis could be banned for up to five matches for punching Wigan’s Chris Tuson.

Magennis has been charged with a Grade D offense, while Tuson, Gareth Hock, and Lee Mossop have been charged with less serious offences. 

Hock and Mossop could miss up to two matches, while Tuson could miss up to three, for their part in the 52nd minute brawl which marred the St Helens v Wigan derby in the Magic Weekend’s final match.

Huddersfield’s Kevin Brown has been charged with committing a reckless high tackle on Adam Sidlow. Brown, who will join Widnes Vikings next season, committed the tackle in the 80th minute of Huddersfield’s 38-34 loss to the City Reds. 

Widnes’ Jon Clarke has also been charged by the RFL for making a dangerous throw on Warrington’s Matty Blythe.
